Meet Howard
I currently lead Growth Engineering at Reddit, building consumer product features and technical strategy that drives the increase of user acquisition, qDAUs/qWAUs, revenue, i18n adoption and messaging. Previously, I served as a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI, where I led an engineering team that innovated the core experiences and architectures for the ChatGPT Web, iOS, and Android clients.
Additionally, I've also held leadership roles at companies like Google, Netflix and Goldman Sachs, where I innovated products and guided teams to drive business impact. Additionally, I co-founded Onramp, an Ed-tech startup, successfully raising ~$2M in seed funding to develop tools that empower educators and learners.
I started Apex Leadership Lab because I believe engineering leadership is about more than technical expertise—it's about empowering others, creating environments where innovation thrives, and building diverse teams that reflect the world we serve.
